About the Role

A Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments, ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including labeling and packing items.

· Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.

· Organize inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in.

· Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory levels.

· Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries.

· Document and report any damages or discrepancies in shipments.

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

· Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Requirements

· Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.

· Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

· Familiarity with shipping regulations and procedures.

· Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
