About the Role
A CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and tools. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
· Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
· Load raw materials into CNC machines and monitor the machining process.
· Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
· Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues.
· Adjust machine settings to optimize production and ensure quality.
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
· Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
· Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and using precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
· Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM software.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
· Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
