About the Role
A CDL Driver is responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently using commercial vehicles. This role involves ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining the vehicle, and adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Transport Goods: Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, etc to transport goods or passengers to designated locations.
· Load and Unload Cargo: Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly protected during transit.
· Route Planning: Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing downtime.
· Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety issues.
· Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies, including hours-of-service requirements.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logs, mileage, and delivery receipts.
· Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
· Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices.
Requirements
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Class A or B endorsement.
· Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
· Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
· Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Good communication and customer service skills
