The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret the results.
· Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts.
· Repair or replace engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other components.
· Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
· Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs.
· Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and parts inventory.
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
· Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Requisitos
· Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
· Knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
· Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
· ASE Diesel Certification.
· Experience in a similar role within the automotive or heavy machinery industry.
· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
